What is USF4 Remix?

USF4 Remix is a total conversion gameplay mod for USF4 created by MiriamBurgers and Anotak. It completely overhauls the system and characters of SF4 to turn the game into something entirely new, while also maintaining a sense of familiarity by using well-established characters.

How do I install?

You can download the mod for free at the following link: https://www.sf4remix.com/ Once there, download and extract the most recent build. The resulting folder will have a README that will walk you through the installation steps.

How can I see what's changed?

You can check the Game Systems page for system changes, and check individual character pages to see the changes made to them.

Who should i play if I'm not sure who I want to main yet?

Just play whoever you think is cool! Everyone in Remix is viable, and most characters are relatively easy to get a basic grasp on, especially compared to their USF4 counterparts. If you aren't sure of that, there are a handful of easy characters who can teach you the game, such as...

Ryu, the classic shoto character. He sports strong, versatile moves, and simple combos that do plenty of damage.
Yun, a simple and powerful vortex character who wins easily and effectively through mixups.
Guile, a straightforward zoner who can easily brute force most matchups with buttons and projectiles.
Vega, a dominant rushdown top tier with amazing mobility and high damage.

How active is the community?

We host biweeklies for the mod in the Remix Discord, and members of the community are constantly playing casuals against each other. The Remix Discord also has a matchmaking channel to help you find matches.

Can I play online?

Yes! Remix is fully compatible with the online built into USF4. Just make sure you and your opponent both have the mod installed, and it should function like normal!

Is this getting updated still?

Yes! Remix is still in active development, and new patches are pushed every few months.

Tier Lists

This is the current tier list put together by Jules and Callie_Anarchy for Beta 27.

S+ characters are the absolute best in the game. Extremely strong with few real weaknesses.

S characters are similar but are either not as extremely strong or have more significant weaknesses.

A characters are strong but balance themselves out with more meaningful weaknesses and usually lose hard to the top tiers.

A- characters are characters who could be nearly as strong as A, but have bigger struggles and require more work to win.

B characters are the weakest in the game, and while they're strong in their own right, pale in comparison to the strongest in the game.

I heard this game has infinites, why aren't they mentioned here?

This wiki is being written within the context of learning Remix from a competitive standpoint. Due to the fact that the main (and currently only) tournament series for Remix limits any infinites to 3 reps per combo, we have decided to write the wiki with that in mind. We believe limiting infinites makes the game much more interesting and nuanced, and that allowing them unrestricted hinders the overall balance and experience of the game.
