Introduction

El Fuerte isn't careful when cooking with fire.

A lucha libre wrestler hailing from Mexico, El Fuerte is a volatile, aggressive rushdown character with the intention to suffocate you with overwhelming mix-ups and strong pressure tools. His approach options are unique among members of the cast, with access to a fullscreen run as opposed to a forward dash, as well as multiple tools for closing the gap between him and the opponent. The defining tool of Fuerte's arsenal is his 236P, Quesadilla Bomb, a hitgrab that becomes a command grab when using its heavy version, and an unblockable when using the EX version. Serving as his primary combo tool, Fuerte can pick up into his best routes from nearly anywhere on the screen.

His 214K special, Dropkick, is a projectile invulnerable lariat that wallbounces with the heavy version, allowing for nearly fullscreen projectile punishes at a moment's notice. His 214P special, Propeller Tortilla, is an unblockable with quick startup that leads into his maximum damage routes, setting up into near-checkmate scenarios in the corner. El Fuerte's kit consists of a variety of tools to let him close the gap between him and the opponent, and stay in their face after he gets there - very often ending up with two-touch potential for very little resources.
