Jotaro Kujo is the main protagonist of series 3. He is basically the shoto of the game, and most well-rounded character. His special moves are most effective at close range. OraOra is a basic pressure move, and it advances towards the opponent without covering too much ground. But it is able to build meter quickly. Maha Ora covers a lot of ground, and hits hard but the full stand enhance version is laggy so be careful. This move is basically his b&b combos. Star Finger is where Jotaro shines the most. He has a lot of mix-up potential, and it sometimes forces the opponent in a position where you have the advantage. Star Finger mix-up is essential in Jotaro's playstyle. Jotaro's two main supers are very strong, and can be easily comboed into. Putzun Ora is a very good chipper super, and if used wisely can be a life saver. Though it is one of his most punishable moves afterwards so make sure it is in a combo. Or otherwise the opponent may guard cancel. The other is Star Breaker which is his strongest super, and can be used to break a stand quickly. The drawbacks to Star Breaker is the fact it doesn't chip as much as Putzun Ora, and it is a waste of meter if you miss. The level 3 which is "Time Stop" is a move that if successful your opponent would be frozen, and is prey to anything without the ability to block. Though it is the hardest move to land due to the startup delay. A opponent could easily punish you while in motion. I would say never use this move unless you can afford to. Like if your opponent health is low, and you have health to spare. Also it's best to use time stop on the last round. During time stop never use Star Breaker because the damage scaling keeps it to a few pixels. So instead get in a Putzun Ora or two because it takes off the most damage in the quickest amount of time than anything else in Jotaro's moveset.

The only cons to Jotaro is that it is very difficult for him to deal with long range stand users. Like Kakyoin and Abdul who can easily keep Jotaro at bay. Unless Jotaro gets in close it will be hard for Jotaro to win seeing as he has no projectiles.

Jotaro Kujo (空条 承太郎 Kūjō Jōtarō) is the protagonist of Stardust Crusaders and the main character in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage For The Future. He is the first character introduced with a Stand, Star Platinum.

One day Jotaro claims to be possessed by an evil spirit and locks himself at a prison. His grandfather, Joseph Joestar and his assistant, Muhammad Avdol pay him a visit and explain to him that his evil spirit is actually an emanation of his spiritual power, called a Stand and that its sudden appearance is related to the awakening of Joestar's sworn enemy, the vampire DIO. Jotaro's mother, Holly, also becomes affected by this and develops a Stand that drains her of her life due to her spirit not being powerful enough. After defeating the first two assassins sent by DIO, Kakyoin, and Polnareff, Jotaro saves their lives from removing DIO's flesh buds that controlled them. Now the party of 5 travels to Egypt together to find and stop DIO before Holly dies due to her Stand.

Jotaro is an absolute powerhouse in HFTF. Often listed as a top 5 character due to his incredible damage potential and dominant up-close game.
Using his Star Finger Oki, Jotaro can pretty much end the round with a good knockdown that leads into a true 50/50 against most characters. He heavily relies on being in his opponent's face, but that doesn't mean he can't stand his ground outside of it, having access to both far-reaching dashing attacks that can confirm into full combos and one of the strongest supers in the game - Stand ON Star Breaker. Jotaro is a very scary character to fight, especially if you can convert into big damage consistently.
Simple enough to use on low-level play while still having a high skill ceiling for the player, combined with his overall strength makes Jotaro a perfect pick for those who want to play a rushdown-based character with a very strong neutral.

  • Has simple combos that take away 1/4 of your opponent's life, as well as more advanced Touch of Death combos.
  • An abundance of hard knockdowns and a volatile 50/50 with Star Finger lets him end rounds in two touches!
  • Easiest Stand Crashes in the game that can lead into Touch of Deaths, having your stand out against Jotaro is a major risk!
  • Stand ON Star Breaker, arguably one of the strongest supers in the game. An invincible, long range whiff punish tool that can be feinted and hits like a truck.
  • Insane meter gain from just whiffing moves and performing combos.
  • Has some of the strongest Tech Chasing in the game, there's no escape!
  • Low Stand Gauge, meaning he can be Stand Crashed easily.
  • Limited range, some matchups rely on star breaker reads or well-spaced poking to get in.
  • His Star Finger okizeme isn't consistent across the cast, and he has to use other means of mixing some of his opponents.
