Advanced V.G. 2/Elirin/Combos

Combos

The majority of Elirin's combos focus on confirms into Elirin San Ranbu, and then tacking on super cancels from there when meter and screen position allow for it. Cashing out meter usually means going straight into EX Elirin Fire, or spending two bars on EX Elirin Mach Punch into either EX Elirin Fire or EX Elirin Tsutenkaku Otoshi.

Basic Combos

The super cancels will only connect when in the corner. The cancel into EX Elirin Mach Punch will be a lot easier if you input it as 62623P. Try to cancel into the second super on the eighth hit of EX Elirin Mach Punch if you're tacking on another EX.

63214P xx 623623P (xx [1]319P)

This super cancel might seem really difficult, but the first 623 for the super cancel is actually covered by the input for Elirin Chop -- just input the whole sequence as 63214P~623P and you won't have any issues.

Throw, walk 2LK 5LP>5HP>5HK xx [4]646P (xx [1]319P)

Bread and butter route from throw. Only works in the corner.

Anti-Air Combos

2HP j.LK>j.HK cl.HP>5HK xx 623PP (xx [1]319P)

Staple combo after an anti-air 2HP. If you don't want to spend meter, stop at cl.HP and end with Elirin Fire.

j.LK>j.HK sj.LK>sj.HK [2]8PP

Reliable combo after an air-to-air j.LK. If you're in the corner, you can end with HP Elirin Tsutenkaku Otoshi if you don't want to spend meter.
