- Simple Gameplan: Jones doesn't take much thought to use and is a strong starter pick.

- No Close Range Defense: Jones only has Guard Cancel at close range, which isn't the best due to its longer start-up. Being tall, he struggles to walk under jump-ins.
- Low Damage Super: Jones's level 1 super isn't worth the meter spend for it typically only does 4 more damage compared to a meterless version. Save up for the level 2.
- Low Stun: It's very easy for Jones to get stunned from two combos.
