This is a very good matchup for Retsu due to the fact Eagle struggles to get in, and you outrange him completely with HK. If he does get close to you, you can duck and counter his LP, MP, and HP, but not LK or jumpkick. Watch out for especially aggressive playstyles that may catch you off guard, and don't panic if he gets close to you, as there are usually ways to escape.

Make sure you secure the lifelead if you want to win, because gen's defense can be a pain to get through. His MK/HK can counter a lot of your tools (anti airs jumpkick, ducks HK) but as long as you have a lifelead, it shouldn't be too hard.

Make sure you secure the lifelead if you want to win, because gen's defense can be a pain to get through. His MK/HK can counter a lot of your tools (anti airs jumpkick, ducks HK) but as long as you have a lifelead, it shouldn't be too hard.
