EX refers to many things, almost all of which are in the Street Fighter series. There are several things EX could refer to, including EX special attacks (see 3rd Strike, Street Fighter 4), or EX focus cancels (see Street Fighter 4). EX special attacks are special moves, usually performed by pressing two of whatever button required to do the move normally (punch or kick), and have different properties than normal special moves. EX focus cancels allow you to cancel any move and dash cancel the focus cancel, allowing you to combo things you would not normally be able to otherwise.
