X-Men: Children of the Atom/Omega Red/Introduction

Introduction

Omega red is an all rounder character that can be played with any playstyle due to the amount of tools he has at his disposal. He can work as a rushdown character with long pressure sequences and great mixup potential due to his very quick and low IAD and the ability to link his 2LK into 5MP and get a combo off of it. He can also work as a defensive character with very long ranged pokes and the ability to convert off of said long ranged pokes like 5HP.

Strengths Weaknesses
  • Great Damage
  • Coils are a fantastic zoning tool
  • Mid screen stun combos
  • Mid screen infinite on super heavies
  • One of the easiest infinites in the game
  • Mixups can lead into full combos
  • Arguably some of the best buttons in the game
  • Can whiff cancel his punches into kicks therefore granting him the ability to make his pokes safe
  • Lowest crouching hurtbox (can low profile a lot of things)
  • Counter throwers cannot tech coils
  • Dash Loops are extremely difficult or flat out wont work on some characters so its harder to corner carry
  • Omega Strike and Coil can be low profiled
