Notation in this Guide

This is how various elements will be represented in this guide.

Movement

Basic joystick movement will be represented by:

  • U.png- Up
  • Uf.png- Up-Foward
  • F.png- Forward
  • Df.png- Down-Forward
  • D.png- Down
  • Db.png- Down-Back
  • B.png- Back
  • Ub.png- Up-Back

Attacks

Attacks will be represented by:

  • Tkn.1.png- 1/ Left Punch
  • Tkn.2.png- 2/ Right Punch
  • Tkn.3.png- 3/ Left Kick
  • Tkn.4.png- 4/ Right Kick
  • Tkn.5.png- 5/ Tag

On Playstation 3, here is the default button layout:

  • Tkn.1.png- Square
  • Tkn.2.png- Triangle
  • Tkn.3.png- X
  • Tkn.4.png- Circle
  • Tkn.5.png- R1

On Xbox 360, here is the default button layout:

  • Tkn.1.png- X
  • Tkn.2.png- Y
  • Tkn.3.png- A
  • Tkn.4.png- B
  • Tkn.5.png- RB

Hit Ranges

Hit Ranges will be represented by the MvC3 attack buttons.

  • H.png- High
  • M.png- Mid
  • L.png- Low
  • S.png- Special Mids
  • If it has * *s around it, it means that it hits grounded opponents as well as the designated hit range.
