Marduk is a mixup-heavy character with a specific strength in controlling space. Equipped with his Tackle from Vale Tudo Stance (VTS), that once it is landed, pulls the opponent into a pure 3-way mixup for 1/3 of their lifebar, Marduk can keep opponents frozen with fear. Adding to this, his d+1 “Dunk Elbow” is plus on block AND forces crouch, severely limiting opponents options. He’s no slouch in neutral either, with a fantastic whiff punisher in df+1, a -1 on block gap closer with f,f+1 and his b+4, which pushes the opponent disgustingly far away on block.

  • Mixups: Marduk can transition into Vale Tudo stance from his 1,2 string, letting him sneak tackles into mixups, or use the fear of VTS to allow for VTS cancels into df+1 for a quick mid launcher, WS+1 to stuff mashing or even a throw with a different break than tackle. Alongside this, f,f+1+2 is a launching throw that poses a very big risk to opponents under pressure. db+3+4 can let Marduk slip out of opponents' pressure and whiff punish with a VTS.f+2 or a tackle. Marduk is a character very adept at cracking open defensive players.
