Introduction

A student of the Tae Kwon Do master Baek Do-San. Hwoarang was a brash punk who had a lucrative gig hustling money in street fights, hiding his true strength against unwitting challengers before soundly beating them. One day he talked a boy around his age named Jin Kazama into taking the challenge. The battle ended in a draw, putting a black mark on Hwoarang's otherwise perfect fighting career. Later, his master Baek became another victim to Ogre. Hwoarang trained for the 3rd King of Iron Fist Tournament, determined not only to avenge his master against the Fighting God, but to settle the score with Jin.
