Game Mechanics

Tekken uses a four button fighting system, with the Left and Right Punches and Kicks. These are represented by 1 (left punch), 2 (right), 3 (left kick), and 4 (right). The backgrounds are 2D and the characters are polygonal. This game lacks the sidesteps of later games.
