Street Fighter (1987)/Adon/Strategy

General Strategy

Adon is an odd character. He has nothing especially strong, so you have to make the best of what you have. His movement is rather poor; his jump, like most others, is easy to anti air, and on the ground he has a slow hop walk. For poking, MK is probably your best option, but in general you'll want to wait until you find an opening to press buttons instead, e.g. for a punish. Try to get close to your opponent, where you can hit them with an LP or LK to do high damage. Don't use your attacks predictably and approach patiently. Getting a lifelead is great for Adon, as it allows you to control the flow of the match immensely and make the opponent play your own game. There are some useful tricks for Adon players to learn, one being his powerful block. His block is unique in that it allows him to block any move in the game, unblockables included. It also makes him take no chip damage from fireballs, which helps a lot in the shotos and sagat matchups. More info on his block is in the Misc. section.
