Unique Mechanic

Palindrome

Azwel's weapon is a magical set of gauntlets that allow him to summon different sets of weapons at will. These sets of weapons correspond to the directional inputs, both in attacks and stances:

Shield & Spear: a cautious, defensive set. Uses retreating inputs (1, 4, 7), and its stance is Comedy of Errors.
Dual Swords: a fast, balanced set. Uses neutral inputs (2, 5, 8), and its stance is Beauty of Balance
Greataxe: an oppressive offensive set. Uses advancing inputs (3, 6, 9), and its stance is Tragedy of War

Switching to a weapon set via an attack imposes an 8 frame delay on the attack's startup. For example, Azwel's AA is i10 if he has his swords 'equipped', but is i18 if the last attack he used was axe or spear. This can be bypassed via strings: his AB string, for example, starts in Sword and ends in Axe, allowing him to naturally switch weapon sets without having to suffer the 8 frame delay.

Each weapon set has an associated special move, a Weapon Art, that 'expends' the weapon set, returning him to Unarmed. These are done via B+K while in a weapon set.

In addition to the three basic weapon sets, Azwel also has another state called Almighty. He enters Almighty by performing a move that uses all three weapon sets (throws, 66A+B, etc.), or for the entirety of his Soul Charge. As one can guess, Azwel has every weapon equipped in Almighty, allowing him a wide variety of options. Naturally, it will only last until he switches weapon sets again outside of Soul Charge, where it persists for the entire duration.
