Introduction

Amy is a character with fast pokes, solid stance mixup options and excellent potential to steamroll the opponent with her pressure. Featuring a unique system where she must hit rose projectiles to unlock or upgrade moves, she naturally grows stronger over the course of a match.

Unique Mechanic

Rose Perception

Some of Amy's moves involve her throwing roses, either red or white. Each rose that hits builds a point, and once she reaches four points of a color, she receives permanent upgrades based on that color of rose.

Red Rose Perception (RRP) improves her offensive capabilities by granting her new combo tools, improved strings, and a buff to her command dash stance. RRP is widely considered easier to obtain and stronger than White Rose Perception (WRP). You will often see Amy's go only for RRP and ignoring WRP altogether.

White Rose Perception (WRP) increases the effectiveness of her parries by increasing the speed and length of the active parry window as well as providing additional one-time LHs on select parry stance attacks. A few new attacks and strings are unlocked. WRP also increases the damage of her i12 Critical Edge.

Once both RRP and WRP are filled, she enters Purple Rose Perception (PRP), Amy obtains the powers of both upgrades. PRP has the added benefit of turning her aGI stances into Resist Impacts and further empowers her Critical Edge, causing it to refund some meter on hit while dealing more damage than empowered RRP CE and retaining the speed of her i12 CE.

Potentially the best pound for pound whiff punish in the game. Safe launcher with long range and TC properties. Can combo into either rose on hit and has RO utility to several directions. Reward jumps drastically when Amy obtains either WRP or RRP.

Amy's main mixup tool out of AMS which is an RE safe command throw, which leaves Amy +10 after a successful throw. AMS A+G has both a front and back throw option, although both throws are same in every other regard. In SC, successful throw grants either red or white rose, Amy's choice.

Colloquially known as "mid parry." An aGI stance transition which works against all mid attacks, as well as special lows and special mids. Once in each of her parry stances, Amy can also enter into another a different parry stance and obtain active parry frames. Followup attacks out of stance cannot be reGId if the opponent gets parried. Mid parry serves as a fantastic compliment to Amy's strong and fast tech crouching moves like 3A. When Amy obtains WRP, the parry window is active [2-22].
