Sentinel

One of the big reasons to play Cable, Cable zones out and controls Sentinel very well. His aerial gunshot shuts down flight approaches, and grenades control space well.

Many Sentinels will go for a chip string of Cr. Hp.png (XX Qcf.png + Lp.png or Hp.png) XX Qcf.png + Lk.pngHk.png (Hyper Sentinel Force). Well, Cable is not helpless here, as he can punish Sentinel for even trying this with an AHVB! Here's how it works. There's a quirk in this game the community has called the Push Block Guard Cancel (PBGC), where pushblocking will put you in a neutral state at the end of the animation no matter what happened before. This is the critical tactic to shut down the robot here! First, Sentinel must cancel into Hyper Sentinel Force from a Hp.png or a Qcf.png + P.png (Rocket Punch). Here's the steps.

1. Sentinel will hit your block with either of those two moves, and cancel into Hyper Sentinel Force.
2. Pushblock after the freeze and BEFORE the first set of drones hit you. Pushblock a little later than as soon as you can, if you do it too early you'll be hit by the second set of drones.
3. Hold neutral. You'll be passive blocking, as in blocking as part of your pushblock.
4. Tiger Knee, and try to get as close as you can to the drones without hitting them.
5. AHVB! The invincibility will carry you through the last set of drones and hit Sentinel right through it!

You can loop AHVBs too, so you can REALLY make this hurt if you have enough bar! (On Sentinel, it's pretty easy to get 4 AHVBs, which will usually kill him!)

This is somewhat tough, so it will take some practice. But once you hit this once, many Sentinels will NEVER go for this again.
