Gohan (DBZ:B3)

From SuperCombo Wiki

Well Gohan's pretty much a Goku clone, so I'm just going to compare them.

Abbreaviations

SDS = Soaring Dragon Strike

DF = Dragon Fist

CH = Counter Hit

P

Gohan's P stuns long enough on CH to link a K like Goku. He has the same PPPPE and PPP>P strings as Goku, allowing him to hitconfirm/changeup like Goku.

>P

>PKK OTGs like Goku's, but Goku's P can only trade at best if he tries to dodge-counter.

>PPPP>P is an infinite Gohan can use to build ki before transionting to SDS. Only the last hit is chargable while the last 2 of Goku's >PPPP<P are. Gohan has >PPP<PP- to take care of dodge-sidestep, but it trades with Goku if he dodge-counters. Goku's >PP<P- is safe.

K

Gohan's >K stuns, but >KPP>P- can be dodge-countered. He can't do anything with it on CH. Goku's >KKP* can also be dodge-countered. His >KPPPK- leads to infinite on CH but the timing is very strict and I don't think it's possible to changeup on CH consistently.

<K

Gohan has the same <K as Goku. <K stuns on CH.

E

Gohan's SDS infinite restores the ki it burns from the front and his medium combo still does 2715 there. Goku needs to equip Meditation in addition to attacking from the front to keep it from draining. Or he could throw in a normal chain. DF plows through normals (while taking damage) once Goku starts lunging, SDS nullifies once Gohan starts swinging. SDS guardbreaks, but it can be dodged. It seems safe on dodge and DF seems safe if sidestepped.

P+K

Gohan's >P+K is fast enough to beat a P if started at the same time (Goku can't) but canceling it doesn't give him any breathing room. It also stops nullifying after Gohan finishes winding up the attack. In other words, he's vulnerable while swinging his arm.

Dashing

Gohan's >>P doesn't guardbreak (Goku's does).
