Important Notice

For those playing SF1++ on Fightcade, make sure that whenever you challenge someone, that the P1 resets the game (by pressing F3). This is to prevent desyncing.

SF1++ Setup and Questions

Q: What is SF1++?

A: SF1++ is a romhack of Street Fighter made by Yumeji. It makes the 10 normally-unplayable CPU fighters selectable via a button code.

Where can I find a download for SF1++?

Check the description of this video.

What’s a good platform or emulator to play SF1++?

If you want to play online with other people, Fightcade 2 is your best bet.

I can’t find the Street Fighter lobby in Fightcade. Where is it?

Look up “Street Fighter” then look for it. It’s not a very populated lobby, and you have to look under other Street Fighter games, but it shouldn’t be too hard to find.

If I have the SF1++ ROM, Can I play people who don’t have the SF1++ ROM?

No, the game will desync if you try to challenge someone with a different ROM. Make sure both players have the same ROM before challenging.

Character Questions

How do I select a character?

On the “Press Start” or “VS.” screen when playing against an opponent, hold down the button combination for your character.

What are the combinations?

Retsu: LP

Geki: LP + HK

Joe: MP

Mike: MP + HK

Lee: MK

Gen: MK + HK

Birdie: LK

Eagle: LK + HK

Adon: HP

Sagat: HP + HK

I can’t do jump attacks with the CPUs.

The CPUs are unique from the Shotos as their jumpkick is tied to a command rather than pressing a button in the air. For all CPUs with a jumpkick, you must hold Db.png, D.png, or Df.png and then press any punch button.

Which character should I play?

Anyone you like. Characters in SF1++ are very simple, too, so there’s no problem in playing multiple characters. If you’re a bit stuck, though, here’s a rundown of each character and what they do;

Adon: Slow, tanky character with very high damage Birdie: Aggressive powerhouse with fantastic normals Eagle: Very strong normals and great at punishes Geki: Tricky character that can stall out the clock Gen: Flexible character with one of the best moves in the game Joe: Solid anti airs and pokes, very honest Lee: Chaotic, great pokes that can catch the opponent off guard Mike: Very limited but powerhouse of a character with fantastic movement Retsu: Slow paced character with solid defense capabilities Sagat (Banned): Has 3 of the greatest CPU moves in the game, absolutely dominant Shotos (Banned): Has ridiculously powerful special moves and dominance

What are the tiers for this game?

Though there’s no concrete tierlist, the general consensus usually looks something like this (tiers are not ordered):

Top/Banned Tier: Sagat, Shotos

High Tier: Birdie, Eagle, Gen

Upper Mid Tier: Mike, Lee, Retsu

Lower Mid Tier: Adon, Joe

Low Tier: Geki

Note that tiers don’t nesscessary reflect a character’s matchup spread. For example, Adon beats Geki harder than Eagle, despite Adon generally being cited as the weaker character overall.
